Customer
PB-ITS delivers IT solutions and services supporting PBS’ real estate operations. These operations include facility/building operations, leasing, designing/building/renovating, and real estate portfolio management. Combined, the operations total 1500 owned assets, 9000 active leased assets and approximately 350 million square feet of office space
IPS is required to provide application and web development, operation support, maintenance, migration/consolidation, and ancillary support for regional users. It is essential that these services address the information technology needs of regional users with specific knowledge necessary to address these requirements.
Customer Solution
Our approach provides a framework for innovation and quality in enhancing operational effectiveness, improvement of cost, and efficiency of resource usage.
Our tried-and-true project management framework, coupled with our culture of continuous improvement, creates strong healthy communication, collaboration, and control in service delivery to meet with GSA’s mission requirements.
- Our team’s method of approaching operations and project support is based on the mindset of Kaizen. Kaizen is based on focusing on small continuous improvements and elimination of inefficient/outdated processes. This provides secure, stable, and sustainable maintenance of the building management systems.
- To avoid limiting ourselves to only one methodology and its practices, we deeply understand PBS/PPB-ITS’ systems and infrastructure to involve the best practices of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Lean, and PMI.
- We use a hybrid stance to Application Development and Operations/Maintenance based on Scrum and Kanban. Development enhancements would be on the traditional sprint and iteration cycle of Scrum, while maintenance tasks would be event-driven and use Work-in-Progress limits to optimize the flow from Discovery to Delivery (Kanban).
